Flag of Upper Austria (service flag)
The flag of Upper Austria has two horizontal stripes, white and red, and a coat of arms in the middle with a royal crown on it.On the left side of the coat of arms is a yellow eagle on a black background and on the left side four red-white longitudinal stripes. The crown is red and white with a cross at the top.
The flag was used already in the 19th century. The colors of the longitudinal stripes are taken from the coat of arms. Today's coat of arms of Upper Austria corresponds to the coat of arms of the old crown land. The crown of an archduke is depicted on it.
