Flag / Region / Carinthia with coat of arms (Austria)

The flag of Carinthia consists of three strips: yellow, red and white. In the center is a coat of arms, which is on the left of yellow and shows three lions and touch on the right of three strips in the colors red, white, is red shows.

This flag originates from that 19th century but the coat of arms is only however from 1930 on the flag. The colors red, yellow and white are derived from the coat of arms. This shows a split sign. On the left side three black lions on golden background and on the right side the Austrian Bindenschild of the Babenberger.
