Flag / Region / Burgenland with coat of arms (Austria)

The flag of Burgenland is red above and down yellow. In the center it has a coat of arms with an eagle, which is red and is represented on golden background.

The colors of the two strips, red and yellow, lead themselves from the coat of arms off with red eagle and golden background. The flag was already used in 19th century. The coat of arms combines the famest aristocracy sexes of the region.
